- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 - egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon butter
How To Make grandma delleplain lemon cake filling

Step 1Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt very thoroughly, add remaining ingredents and blend.

Step 2Cook over boiling water stirring constantly until thickened. let cool and fill a two layer cake.
