This recipe is 64 years old it was used by my grandma . Over the years it got a lot of use from the family.

  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated lemon rind
  • 1/3 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
  • 1
    egg beaten
  • 1 Tbsp

How to Make Grandma Delleplain Lemon Cake Filling


  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt very thoroughly, add remaining ingredents and blend.
  2. Cook over boiling water stirring constantly until thickened. let cool and fill a two layer cake.
