This is a simple cake and with the cream cheese frosting it is a hit with my family. I guess I like it too because it is not too sweet.

  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1/3 c
    oil vegetable
  • 1
  • 1 c
    milk, low-fat
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • pinch
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2
    ripe bananas

  • 3 oz
    cream cheese
  • 5 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Donna's Banana Cake


  1. mix sugar and oil, add egg, mix together. add milk and mix.
  2. add flour, baking powder, baking soda. mix. salt, vanilla and mashed bananas. Mix a minimum of 300 strokes.
  3. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
  4. FROSTING: Beat all ingredients until smooth.
    Frost cool cake and enjoy.
