  • CLASSIC BUTTER CREAM

  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    vanilla or almond extract
  • 1 lb (4 c.
    confectioners' sugar
  • CHOCOLATE BUTTER CREAM

  • 2/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    more of butter
  • 1/8 tsp
    more of salt
  • FOR CHOCOLATE FROSTING USE VANILLA EXTRACT

How to Make Classic Butter Cream Frosting

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients EXCEPT 2 cups of the confectioners' sugar, blend well.
  2. Gradually add remaining sugar while mixing.
  3. Beat at high speed for 10 minutes.
  4. Cover while not in use. Do not refrigerate.
