Ingredients
- CLASSIC BUTTER CREAM
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- 1 lb (4 c. - confectioners' sugar
- CHOCOLATE BUTTER CREAM
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons more of butter
- 1/8 teaspoon more of salt
- FOR CHOCOLATE FROSTING USE VANILLA EXTRACT
How To Make classic butter cream frosting

Step 1Mix all ingredients EXCEPT 2 cups of the confectioners' sugar, blend well.

Step 2Gradually add remaining sugar while mixing.

Step 3Beat at high speed for 10 minutes.

Step 4Cover while not in use. Do not refrigerate.
