Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 15 oz
    pkg. brownie mix
  • 1 c
    white candy chips
  • 1 c
    chopped macadamia nuts or what's on hand
  • 1 c
    sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 c
    maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 14 oz
    can sweetened condensed milk

How to Make Chocolate Cherry Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350^. Spray a 9x13-inch cake pan.
    ---
    Mix together the dry brownie mix and the melted butter and press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake about 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven.
  2. Sprinkle white chips evenly over top of chocolate crust, then the nuts, coconut and cherries.
    Drizzle with the sweetened condensed milk evenly too!
  3. Bake for another 25-30 minutes. Cool completely the drizzle with 1/2 cup melted chocolate or white chips,mixed with 1 teaspoon of Crisco shortening, if desired.
    Melt the chocolate and Crisco in the microwave for 30 seconds stir until smooth. Repeat if necessary.
