cheery cherry dessert squares
A version of this recipe is in my cookbook "SHARING OUR FAVORITE RECIPES". But I have added a few additional ingredients,& I love the new results. This dessert is quick & easy, & very tasty, & with the addition of Nuts, & the Chocolate Chips, it is so full of the cherry flavor with the addition of a large box of Jello Gelatin. I even added a glaze so it is quite cheery & so full of the cherry pie filling flavor, you can't go wrong on such a simple & easy dessert. Try it and see if you don't agree. The Original Recipe was submitted by my friend Beverly Alitz of McCallsburg, Iowa.
