Recipe from Kitchen Chatter and Friends Book 2 . Using a cake mix to start, then adding butterscotch pudding , apples ,nuts and chips this cake will be the hit for any brunch or dinner.s happy ending!

Ingredients

  • CAKE:
  • 18 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 3 ounces pkg. instant butterscotch pudding
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups milk or water
  • TOPPING:
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 cups peeled. thinly sliced cooking apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts

How To Make butterscotch apple bar/cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Grease and flour a 15x10-inch jelly roll baking pan for bar-like or 9x13 for cake like. Bake the same..checking for doneness. In a large bowl blend cake mix, dry pudding mix, eggs and milk or water until moistened- then beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Pour into prepared pan. Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon- sprinkle on top of batter. Sprinkle chips and nuts over all. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick tests out clean.
