Most cream cheese frostings are pretty good, but this one will knock your socks off with the addition of just one different ingredient. My daughter in law, an all time "watch what you eat", run at least 3 times a week, keep that youthful lithe body... well, she couldn't resist this. She said it was frosting worth running an extra mile for! So it's family approved and tested, LOL.

8 ounces philadelphia brand cream cheese
1 stick butter softened - no substitutions please
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

How To Make absolutely the best cream cheese frosting ever

Step 1

Beat softened butter with softened cream cheese. (You can soften cream cheese in microwave for 10 seconds.)

Step 2

Add lemon juice and mix thoroughly.
Step 3

Add box of powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Ice cake and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
