These are very tasty and puffy pancakes.The buckwheat flour adds a nutty flavor.My family loves it.

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    buckwheat flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    plain lowfat,yogurt
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 large
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, unsalted,melted and cooled

How to Make Puffy Buckwheat Pancakes


  1. Stir together the flours,baking powder,baking soda,salt and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. In another bowl ,stir together the yogurt,egg,milk,and cooled melted butter.
  3. Pour the liquid ingredients into the mixing bowl and stir until combine.
  4. Spray the surface of a large skillet with cooking spray.Heat it over medium high heat.
  5. For each pancake, spoon 1/4 cup of batter onto the surface and cook until the top begins to bubble and the bottom is golden.
  6. Flip each pancake and cook it until it is golden on the second side.Serve them warm with maple syrup or fresh fruits and whipped topping.
