My grandson rarely has time to have breakfast before he bikes to work. So, I began looking for cookie recipes that would be healthy. I wanted something simple and found this no bake recipe. I added one ingredient and tried it for the first time today. He loved them!!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups oat cereal
  • 1 cup dried fruit like craisins, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

How To Make no bake breakfast bars

  • Step 1
    In large bowl, mix cereal, nuts, fruit and chips.
  • Step 2
    As you do this, on low heat mix and melt peanut butter and honey.
  • Step 3
    Pour liquid into the mix and mix well.
  • Step 4
    Grease oblong or square pan and press into with fingers. Food handlers gloves keeps your hands clean. Let cool and either wrap in plastic wrap or seal in zipper bags.
