2 1/4 cwater
1grated, peeled apple
1/2 tsplemon juice
2/3 ccoaches oats or old fashioned rolled oats.
3 Tbspmaple syrup (we use grade b)
somecream or milk as desired
How to Make French Oatmeal
- peel, core and grate any kind of apple. Add to water.
- Bring water to a boil. Add lemon juice and oats. Stirring occasionaly, turn down heat and let slow boil for about 5 minutes.
- Turn off heat and add syrup and cream or milk. As an option I sometimes add either raisins at the end, or Craisins or toasted pecans. Holy-Moly it makes good even better!
