creamy microwave oatmeal

Trust me you want a large bowl and to stir. It over flowed the first time I made this, lost half my breakfast. I like the oatmeal without the sweeteners and milk.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk, soya milk or coconut milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons raisins, dried cranberries or chopped prunes
  • 1 teaspoon wheat bran
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make creamy microwave oatmeal

  • Step 1
    Combine the water, milk, salt, fruit and bran in a large microwave bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Stir in oatmeal and cinnamon. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes. Stir at 1 minute intervals. Cover and let sit for 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    You can add brown sugar, coconut sugar or pure maple syrup and milk, if desired.
  • Step 4
    This recipe can be multiplied to increase servings. Increase the cooking time as necessary.
