Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices white or whole grain bread
  • 1 large apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons cinnamon

How To Make apple toast breakfast

  • Step 1
    Spread butter on one side of each bread slice, divide apple slices among them, then sprinkle each with some cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    Place bread slices on a baking sheet and broil about 2 minutes (watch carefully). Drizzle on a little honey or maple syrup before baking to add some sweetness.
  • Step 3
    NOTE: May substitute peanut butter for the butter, if preferred.
