Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons butter or margarine
- 3 cups scalded milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 teaspoons minute tapioca
How To Make tomatoes on toast

Step 1Cook tomatoes, butter , salt, pepper and tapioca in a saucepan stirring constantly ,until tapioca is transparent. Heat milk to just scalding point, add tomato mixture slowly to prevent curdling and bring slowly to boiling point- BUT DO NOT boil. Serve over butter garlic toast or savory bread.

Step 2I personally like to eat it in a bowl with seasoned buttered croûton's and crumbled bacon on top.
