Ingredients For tomatoes on toast
2 ccrushed tomatoes
2 tspbutter or margarine
3 cscalded milk
3 tspminute tapioca
How To Make tomatoes on toast
1Cook tomatoes, butter , salt, pepper and tapioca in a saucepan stirring constantly ,until tapioca is transparent. Heat milk to just scalding point, add tomato mixture slowly to prevent curdling and bring slowly to boiling point- BUT DO NOT boil. Serve over butter garlic toast or savory bread.
2I personally like to eat it in a bowl with seasoned buttered croûton's and crumbled bacon on top.
