I love to serve this on Christmas morning. Very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham, i used maple flavored
  • 2 cups reduced-fat, shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 - eggs
  • 3 cups 1% milk
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon each, salt and pepper
  • 1/2 stick melted butter
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes

How To Make healthy layered breakfast bake

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish w/ cooking spray. Line baking dish w/ 6 slices of bread. Layer bread w/ 1/2 the ham. Sprinkle w/ 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers.
  • Step 2
    In lg bowl, beat eggs, milk, dry mustard, onion powder, salt and pepper. Pour over bread mix. In another bowl, combine melted butter and cornflakes. Sprinkle over casserole.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 50 mins.
