- 1 1/2 kilograms ripe tomatoes,sliced and peeled
- 700 grams sugar
- 700 grams brown onions,sliced
- 500 milliliters brown vinegar
- 2 tablespoons english mustard powder
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 259 grams saltanas
- 25 grams salt {or to taste}

Step 1Peel Tomatoes, Blanch for 40 second in hot water and peel

Step 2slice tomatoes and onions, and saute without colour in a heavy base pan or pot

Step 3add all the other ingredients and bring to the boil, then simmer for approximately 45 min reducing to aggrieve desired consistancy
