the best cranberry walnut bread
This is my favorite cranberry bread recipe. It is tart and sweet at the same time. This recipe makes the the bread so moist. It freezes well!

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large egg beaten lightly
- 2 cups un-bleached flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries chopped coarse
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped coarse
How To Make the best cranberry walnut bread

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees and prepare a loaf pan for baking. My favorite is a stoneware loaf pan sprayed with PAM baking spray.

Step 2Stir, the orange juice, orange zest, buttermilk, melted butter and egg together in a bowl.

Step 3Whisk together all dry ingredients. Add the liquids, blending together.

Step 4Add chopped cranberries and walnuts, stirring until well mixed.

Step 5Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake for another 30 to 35 minutes.
