sweet yeast bread
I am a diabetic; so, anytime something works with artificial sweetner, I get excited. This bread works well. My husband and I both love it and I keep some on hand.

Ingredients
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 cup splenda or equivalent
How To Make sweet yeast bread

Step 1Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water in large mixing bowl and let stand 5 minutes. Add olive oil, egg, and salt. Stir to mix. Add 2 cups bread flour and splenda a little at a time and mix with electric mixer until smooth. Stir in 1 additional cup of bread flour.

Step 2Use remaining 1/2 cup of bread flour to knead dough until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl and cover with cheesecloth. Place bowl in warm area until dough doubles in size. Punch dough down and knead for 1 minute. Form dough into loaf and place in greased loaf pan. Cut 3 diagonal slits in top of load, cover with cheesecloth, and place in warm area until doubles in size.

Step 3Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
