swedish rolls
Growing up Swedish with my gram, this recipe is priceless. These were made every October at our annual Swedish Bazaar at church. Me and my mother would always work the "elephant table", then we'd sneak in the kitchen while Chubby was baking these for everyone who came! Wow, brings back some great memories! From my family's own personal recipe!

- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons cardamom
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 cups flour
How To Make swedish rolls
-
Step 1Grease & dust pans with flour(I used the aluminum foil pans (4 13x9's).
-
Step 2Heat butter and milk on low in medium saucepan just to a boil. Add yeast and eggs to milk mixture. Pour milk mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and cardamom. Add flour 1 cup at a time mixing well after each addition. Place dough in a clean greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 2 hours.
-
Step 3Place dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll into a rectangle about 1/2" thickness. Cut rolled dough into 6" strips. Roll dough to form bun. Place buns onto greased pans and let rise 15 minutes.
-
Step 4Bake in 350* oven for 15 minutes. While buns are still warm, brush with egg yolks and generously sprinkle with white sugar. 2 points per roll
