1/2 c(1 stick) cold unsalted butter cut into pieces, plus more for the pan
1 call purpose flour, spooned and leveled
1/2 cconfectioners' sugar
2 tspgrated orange zest
2 tsppoppy seeds
How to Make ORANGE-POPPY SEED SHORTBREAD WEDGES
- In a food processor, process the flour, sugar, salt, and butter until moist clumps form. Add the orange zest and poppy seeds and pulse once or twice just to combine.
- Press the mixture evenly into a buttered 9-inch fluted removable bottom tart pan (or a 9-inch round cake pan).
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the warm shortbread into 12 wedges. Let the wedges cool completely before removing them from the pan.
