Ingredients For orange-poppy seed shortbread wedges
(1 stick) cold unsalted butter cut into pieces, plus more for the pan
all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
grated orange zest
How To Make orange-poppy seed shortbread wedges
In a food processor, process the flour, sugar, salt, and butter until moist clumps form. Add the orange zest and poppy seeds and pulse once or twice just to combine.
Press the mixture evenly into a buttered 9-inch fluted removable bottom tart pan (or a 9-inch round cake pan).
Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly golden.
Using a serrated knife, cut the warm shortbread into 12 wedges. Let the wedges cool completely before removing them from the pan.
