  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    low fat yogurt
  • 1/3 c
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Honey Wheat quick bread


  1. In large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Cut in butter into mixture.
  3. In separate bowl, whisk together yogurt and honey; blend into dry mixture.
  4. Turn dough onto lightly floured work surface; knead until smooth, about 1 minute.
  5. Shape dough into a ball. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. With a sharp knife, cut a shallow "X" on top of round. Brush top with milk.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden brown and crust is firm
