all purpose flour
1 c
whole wheat flour
2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
1/4 c
butter or margarine
1 c
low fat yogurt
1/3 c
2 Tbsp

How to Make Honey Wheat quick bread


  • 1In large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt until thoroughly mixed.
  • 2Cut in butter into mixture.
  • 3In separate bowl, whisk together yogurt and honey; blend into dry mixture.
  • 4Turn dough onto lightly floured work surface; knead until smooth, about 1 minute.
  • 5Shape dough into a ball. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. With a sharp knife, cut a shallow "X" on top of round. Brush top with milk.
  • 6Bake at 325°F for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden brown and crust is firm
