Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110-115 degrees)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast

How To Make homemade honey wheat bread

  • Step 1
    combine first 6 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add flours and yeast.
  • Step 2
    Knead till dough is smooth and elastic 10-15 minutes by hand or 6-7 minutes in a mixer
  • Step 3
    place dough in a greased bowl, turning once. Cover and let rise till doubles 40-60 minutes
  • Step 4
    Punch down dough, knead a few minutes and form loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover and let rise addtional 30 minutes Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes
