  • 1 c
    warm water (110-115 degrees)
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp
    instant yeast

How to Make Homemade Honey Wheat Bread


  1. combine first 6 ingredients in a mixing bowl.
    Add flours and yeast.
  2. Knead till dough is smooth and elastic
    10-15 minutes by hand or 6-7 minutes in a mixer
  3. place dough in a greased bowl, turning once. Cover and let rise till doubles 40-60 minutes
  4. Punch down dough, knead a few minutes and form loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover and let rise addtional 30 minutes
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes
