homemade banana bread

This is a wonderful moist dessert bread. I got this recipe out of a Pillsbury cookbook and tweaked it a little.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 - medium bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make homemade banana bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan In mixing bowl combine sugar and butter, beat till light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Add banans, milk, and vanilla, blend well
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, combine flour, nuts, baking powder, and salt. Add slowly to banana mixture and beat on low till combined.
  • Step 3
    Pour into pan and bake 50-60 minutes or till knife comes out clean when inserted.
