Ingredients

  • HARVEST QUICK BREAD JAR MIX
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup or 1/2 stick of unsalted butter, melted

How To Make harvest quick bread mix

  • Step 1
    Layer ingredients in 1-quart food storage jar with tight-fitting lid in the order of the ingredients listed above.
  • Step 2
    Seal jar. cover lid with fabric circle, if desired. attach gift tag and fabric to jar with raffia or ribbon.

    Making the Bread:

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 9x5- inch nonstick loaf pan: set aside. Place contents of jar i large bowl; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Whisk egg in another large bowl. Whisk in milk and butter. Add dry ingredients: stir just until moistened.
  • Step 6
    Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan t wire rack. Cool Completely.
