This is a super NO EGG recipe for a loaf bread. The banana serves as the binder in this. I have also used applesauce instead of oil and it works great! I have substituted in 1/2 cup of coconut, butterscotch chips and different nuts to make it different flavors and it always turns out great!

How to Make Chocolate Chip Quick Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat overn to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. Mix all wet ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients stirring only to blend- do not over mix.
  3. Add nuts and chips. Stir just to mix.
  4. Put in greased loaf pan that has parchment paper on the bottom of the pan(this makes releasing the bread so much easier) Bake until toothpick comes out clean and loaf is dark golden brown, about an hour.
  5. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool for about an hour. Store in ziplock plastic bag.
