I SAW THIS RECIPE FEATURD ON DINERS DRIVINS N DIVES COMES FROM A PLACE CALLD BLUE MOON CAFE.....IT LOOKD SOOOO GOOD I HAD TO TRY IT......RESULT A CRUNCHY DECADENT ...N NOT AS SWEET AS U MITE THINK... FRENCH TOAST MMMMMMMM :)

Ingredients

  • 2 slices thick, dense bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/8 cup heavy cream (i used half n half)
  • 2 cups cap'n crunch cereal (crushed but leave some whole pieces too)
  • 1-2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • - powdered sugar
  • - maple syrup

How To Make cap'n crunch french toast

  • Step 1
    POUR 2 CUPS (OR MORE) IN GALLON SIZED PLASTIC BAG N CRUSH ....LEAVE SOME PIECES WHOLE...THEN POUR IN PIE PLATE.
  • Step 2
    IN ANOTHER PIE PLATE MIX 2 EGGS, VANILLA, N CREAM.
  • Step 3
    DIP BREAD INTO EGG MIXTURE (DO NOT SATURATE)....THEN PRESS INTO CRUSHD CEREAL.
  • Step 4
    MELT BUTTER ONE TBLSPN AT A TIME IN LARGE PAN ( I USED MY ELECTRIC SKILLET).
  • Step 5
    ON MED/HIGH HEAT CARMELIZE EACH SIDE ABOUT 3-5 min.....ADD OTHER TBLSPN OF BUTTER WEN DOING OTHER SIDE.
  • Step 6
    SPRINKLE WITH CONF. SUGAR N DRIZZLE ON MAPLE SYRUP.......ENJOY :)
