banana nut bread
Basic recipe from my mom's old Betty Crocker cookbook. Still a family favortie though. :) Posting it for my Christmas gift basket shopping list.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 3 - large bananas, mashed
How To Make banana nut bread

Step 1Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 9x5x3 loaf pan. For 3 MINI LOAVES (3x5x2) heat to 325.

Step 2Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Thoroughly mix ingredients for about 30 seconds, scraping bowl frequently.

Step 3Pour into loaf pan/s, bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Step 4Best served hot with butter. Freezes well.
