Basic recipe from my mom's old Betty Crocker cookbook. Still a family favortie though. :)

Posting it for my Christmas gift basket shopping list.

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 c
sugar
3 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
3/4 c
milk
1
egg
1 c
chopped walnuts
3
large bananas, mashed

How to Make Banana Nut Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 9x5x3 loaf pan. For 3 MINI LOAVES (3x5x2) heat to 325.
  • 2Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Thoroughly mix ingredients for about 30 seconds, scraping bowl frequently.
  • 3Pour into loaf pan/s, bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
  • 4Best served hot with butter. Freezes well.
