wheat germ bread
I love the flavor wheatgerm gives in this bread. Kind of nutty and wholesome. I make this on occassion for summer sandwiches. ( like tomato sandwiches ) Hope you like it.

Ingredients
- 6 to 6 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 3/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Step 1Combine 2 1/2 cups bread flour, ww flour, dry milk wheat germ and yeast in large bowl

Step 2In a sausepancombine water sugar, shortening, honey, oil and salt till warm (or in microwave0

Step 3add heated ingredients to dry mixture. with mixer on low speed combine and beat 1/2 minute, then 3 minutes on high speed

Step 4Stir in remaining flour.

Step 5Knead 5 to 7 minutes

Step 6Cover and let rise 40 to 50 minutes , until doubled

Step 7divide into 2 loaves. place in well greased loaf pans, in draft free place cover with tee towels and let rise another 30 to 40 minutes

Step 8bake in pre heated 400 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes, until golden and sound hollow
