I got this recipe from my English mother-in-law. She did not use measuring cups and spoons, so I put this together through trial and error until it was just like hers.

1 c
flour
1 c
milk
1/2 Tbsp
salt

How to Make Yorkshire Pudding/Popovers

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • 2Have all ingredients at room temperature. Mix together.
  • 3FOR POPOVERS: Preheat greased muffin tin. Remove and fill with batter. Return to oven and bake 35-40 minutes until slightly brown and puffy. Will rise over the top of pan.
  • 4FOR YORKSHIRE PUDDING: Pour into preheated and greased 8 x 8 baking pan. Bake until slightly brown. Will puff up in oven and then settle when removed from oven.
