My co-worker brought this to work yesterday. I had to have the recipe. It is on the side of the "King Arthur" Whole Wheat flour bag.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup king arthur whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup king arthur unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make whole wheat banana bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add oil, sugar (1 Cup), eggs, milk and vanilla. Stir to combine.
  • Step 3
    Mix in the flours, baking soda, baking powder, salt and chopped walnuts. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl to thoroughly combine ingredients.
  • Step 4
    Transfer the batter into the prepared pan. Mix together the of sugar (2 Tablespoons) and cinnamon and sprinkler over the batter.
  • Step 5
    Bake in preheated oven for about 60 minutes until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then tip out of the pan and transfer to a rack to cool completely
