My mom has been making these rolls for years! They may look like a muffin, but taste like fresh-baked yeast bread that I have a hard time resisting. Add a little butter while they're hot, and they melt in your mouth! Mmmmm good.

water, lukewarm
1 pkg
active dry yeast
1 1/2 stick
butter, softened
1/4 c
egg, beaten
4 c
self rising flour

How to Make Refrigerator Yeast Rolls


  • 1Dissolve yeast in water.
  • 2Add, sugar, butter and beaten egg.
  • 3Stir in four. Mix well. (The dough will be stiff and lumpy.)
  • 4Refrigerate at least 2 hrs. or overnight.
  • 5Fill lightly greased muffin tins half full.
  • 6Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
