This is one of my favorite breads.
It sure helps having a bread machine!
Homemade is so much more flavorful than store bought .I love the crunchy out side of the bread...YUMMY.

Ingredients

1 c
water
1/4 c
dark molasses
Tbsp
butter or margarine
2 c
bread flour
1-1/4 c
rye flour
2 Tbsp
unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp
salt
2-1/2 tsp
active dry yeast

How to Make "PUMPERNICKEL BREAD" a bread machine recipe

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place all ingredients into the
    machine bread pan
    in the order listed.
  • 2Close lid and start machine.
    According to your machine
    instructions and time.
    My machine is a
    OASTER BREAD & DOUGH MAKER.
  • 3When done remove bread to
    a rack to cool off.
  • 4When cool enough to handle,
    slice and enjoy!
    This is 1-1/2 pound loaf
