I love dumplings, I was in Texas visiting and my friend Shirley made these for us. They are so good. But do not peek while cooking !

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortnening
- 1/2 cup ice cold water
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup butter
How To Make no peek dumpling's

Step 1LARGE POT add 2 cups water, 2 cups broth and 1/2 cup butter, HEAT on medium. Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2BOWL, BLEND salt, flour, and shortening until it looks like cornmeal.

Step 3SLOWLY ADD ice water until it makes dough.

Step 4ROLL out and cut into squares. ADD to broth, turn heat down to simmer. COOK 15 minutes, with lid on, DO NOT OPEN LID. DO NOT PEEK !
