I love dumplings, I was in Texas visiting and my friend Shirley made these for us. They are so good. But do not peek while cooking !

Ingredients

2 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
salt
1/2 c
shortnening
1/2 c
ice cold water
2 c
chicken broth
2 c
water
1/2 c
butter

How to Make NO PEEK DUMPLING'S

Step-by-Step

  • 1LARGE POT add 2 cups water, 2 cups broth and 1/2 cup butter, HEAT on medium. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2BOWL, BLEND salt, flour, and shortening until it looks like cornmeal.
  • 3SLOWLY ADD ice water until it makes dough.
  • 4ROLL out and cut into squares.
    ADD to broth, turn heat down to simmer.
    COOK 15 minutes, with lid on, DO NOT OPEN LID.
    DO NOT PEEK !
