My Nanny(grandmother) made these look so easy, The smell of these baking was irresistable and we couldn't wait to be called to the table on those Sunday dinners!

Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water (bath temp) not hot
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg
How To Make nanny's yeast rolls

Step 1Mix the package of yeast into the cup of warm water by stirring gently in a bowl.mix in the egg, gently, dont scramble .set aside

Step 2Sift the flour , sugar and salt well,slowly adding into the egg and yeast/water mixture. cover this with a dish towel and sit in a warm place to let rise for about 2 hrs.

Step 3Uncover and roll out into a circle, cut into rolls, fold each over and place fold side down on baking sheet. Cover and let rise again, about 45min -an hour. Bake @ 400 degrees till golden brown (about 25 min. Serve hot with butter and preserves! YUMMMY
