baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
2 tsp
2 large
3 Tbsp
oil (your choice)


1 small
can of chopped green chili would be a great addition

How to Make Grandma's Cornbread


  • 1Heat oven to 425 degrees. Put the 3T oil in the cast-iron pan. Place the pan in the oven while preheating.
  • 2Beat eggs. Add the wet ingredents, mix well.
  • 3Add to that the dry ingredents, until moist.
  • 4When oven is done preheating remove pan. Add ingredents to hot pan. Put pan back into oven.
  • 5Bake for 25 min.
