  • 1 c
    corn meal
  • 1 c
  • 2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 large
  • 3 Tbsp
    oil (your choice)

  • 1 small
    can of chopped green chili would be a great addition

How to Make Grandma's Cornbread


  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Put the 3T oil in the cast-iron pan. Place the pan in the oven while preheating.
  2. Beat eggs. Add the wet ingredents, mix well.
  3. Add to that the dry ingredents, until moist.
  4. When oven is done preheating remove pan. Add ingredents to hot pan. Put pan back into oven.
  5. Bake for 25 min.
