- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons oil (your choice)
- OPTIONS
- 1 small can of chopped green chili would be a great addition
How To Make grandma's cornbread

Step 1Heat oven to 425 degrees. Put the 3T oil in the cast-iron pan. Place the pan in the oven while preheating.

Step 2Beat eggs. Add the wet ingredents, mix well.

Step 3Add to that the dry ingredents, until moist.

Step 4When oven is done preheating remove pan. Add ingredents to hot pan. Put pan back into oven.

Step 5Bake for 25 min.
