Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (i use freshly ground)
- 1/2-3/4 cup unbleached all purpose flour
How To Make flour tortillas

Step 1Place liquids in bowl.

Step 2Add the dry ingredients.

Step 3Knead until the dough is workable but not stiff. (Keep the dough moist for soft tortillas.)

Step 4Let stand 10 minutes.

Step 5Pull out golf size tortillas & place onto floured board.

Step 6Either roll with floured rolling pin or press down with fingers. Of course you could press with a tortilla press if you have one. I like pressing down with my fingers because I feel like I get a better shaped tortilla.

Step 7Cook on a griddle on both sides until slightly golden.
