I absolutely love flax seed! When it's ground it can be put into anything and it is so good for your cholesterol!
This is a lovely little recipe a good friend of mine gave me to try. Until she gave me this, I thought it was too much effort to make my own crackers!

How to Make Flax Seed Crackers

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grind flax seed until coarsely chopped. In a medium bowl, mix egg, oil and water. Add flour, salt and seed and stir until you have a stiff dough. Pinch off 1 in. balls of dough and roll them out on the counter top as thinly as you can. Do not use flour on your rolling surface. Peel crackers off the counter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
