Ingredients
- 5 1/2 to 6 cups *** flour
- 2 packages "active" dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup water
- - cornmeal
How To Make english muffin loaf bread

Step 1*** "MEASURE BY SPOONING FLOUR LIGHTLY INTO CUP". Preheat oven: 400 degrees. Grease & sprinkle with cornmeal - 2 loaf pans.

Step 2In large bowl combine - 3 cups flour, yeast sugar, salt, & baking soda. Heat liquids on stove until very warm (120-130 degrees). Add to dry mixture; beat well.

Step 3Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter. Spoon into prepared pans & sprinkle tops with cornmeal.

Step 4COVER; LET RISE IN A WARM PLACE FOR 45 MINUTES.

Step 5Bake for 25 minutes... remove from pans immediately & cool.
