dinner yeast rolls
My grandmother always made the best dinner rolls. However, no one had her exact recipe. She was a pinch here and a pinch there kind of gal! It has taken me years but this recipe, according to my family, is now their favorite "grandma" rolls. Hope you enjoy them!

Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour plus if needed
- 2/3 cup milk (110 - 115 degrees)
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 packages yeast (for large rolls)
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
How To Make dinner yeast rolls
-
Step 1Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp. of the sugar. Add melted butter. Let set 5 - 10 minutes. Add eggs, salt, and remaining sugar to yeast mixture. Stir in flour one cup at a time with your mixer. After all the flour had been added, knead with a mixer dough paddle for 8 to 10 minutes.
-
Step 2Place in a oiled bowl and let rise until double in size (approximately an hour). Punch down on a dough cloth and pinch off medium size balls of dough. I use a muffin pan and place two balls in each muffin cup brushed with butter. Let rolls rise again.
-
Step 3Start baking in a cold oven with temperature set at 375 degrees. Bake 18 - 22 minutes or until slightly brown on top. Brush lightly with melted butter.
