This corn bread recipe is the basic recipe my mother used.We didn't like egg in our bread so she used mayonnaise.We love this bread,its good even for a snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self rising meal
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon minced dry onions
  • 2 tablespoons sherred cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jalapenos
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup water or consistency you make your bread

How To Make corn bread wedges

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.Put bread skillet on stove and spray with pam and add small amount of oil to each wedge.Heat skillet on top of stove while mixing your bread.
  • Step 2
    Mix dry ingredients then add milk and water. Fill wedges 3/4 full .
  • Step 3
    bake for 25 minutes or until brown.Enjoy!
