  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 3 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    minced chives
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • ·
    dash garlic salt
  • 2 c
    rice krispies cereal

How to Make cheesy chive crisps


  1. in a large bowl, cream the butter an cheese until light an fluffy. beat in the flour, chives, salt, pepper sauce an garlic salt. stir in the cereal. shape into 6-1/2 in times 1-1/2-in. logs. wrap tightly in plastic wrap and freeze.
  2. Remove cheese logs from freezer 2 hours before baking. unwrap, cut into 1/4-inch slices. place on ungreased baking sheets. bake at 325f for 20-25 minutes or until edges are crisp and lightly browned. remove to wire racks cool and serve ummmmm
