Makes 2 dozen
Ingredients
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water(110-115 degrees)
- 1 1/2 cups warm buttermilk(110-115 degrees)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (canola)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make buttermilk pan rolls

Step 1In a large mixing bowl,dissolve yeast in warm water. Add warm buttermilk,oil,and sugar. Combine flour, baking soda,salt. Add to yeast mixture and beat until smooth.(in mixer with dough hooks)DO NOT KNEAD! Let stand 10 min. Turn dough onto a slightly floured surface. Punch down. Shape into 24 balls and place in 2 greased 9" square baking pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 30 min.)

Step 2Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven;20 min. or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks******At the point I like to brush butter OR garlic butter on top of rolls.
