How to Make Betty's Corn Bread


  1. Scald milk and pour over the cornmeal and shortening. Cool, add beaten eggs, baking powder,salt, and sugar mix well. Pour into a greased shallow pan and bake in a hot oven.
  2. Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
