  • 2 1/2 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/3 c
    margarine or butter, melted
  • 2 c
    (8 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped peeled apples
  • 3/4 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make APFEL KASE BROT (apple cheese bread)


  1. Combine dry ingredients. Add combined eggs, milk and butter; mix well. Sir in remaining ingredients.
  2. Spoon mixture into well greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 65 to 70 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from pan and transfer to plate.
  3. Slice, serve, and enjoy! Guten Appetit!
