How To Make 60 minute rolls
-
Step 1Place warm water in a large mixing bowl; sprinkle yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar on top and let yeast proof. Place milk, butter, 2 tablespoons sugar on top and let yeast proof. Place milk, butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt in microwave cup or bowl. Heat until butter, sugar, and salt are melted and dissolved. Add to proofed yeast (make sure milk is not too hot).
-
Step 2Add enough flour to make soft dough. Knead in mixer, or by hand, about 10 minutes. Put bowl in warm place and let rise about 15 minutes. Punch down; shape into rolls and place on greased baking sheet. Let rise 15 minutes and bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
