I think I got this recipe off of a rapid rise yeast package, I have made rolls out of them for years and they turn out very good, and you can put in loaf pan and make a loaf of bread also using this recipe

prep time 25 Min
cook time 35 Min
method Bake
yield 12-15 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 4 3/4-5 1/ cups all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 packages rapid rise yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 - eggs, slightly beaten

How To Make 60 minute pan rolls

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Heat milk, water and margarine (120-130 degrees) Stir into dry ingredients. Mix in egg and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface 7-8 minutes. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
Pinch off equal size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. (For electric oven, turn oven on 200 degrees for 1 minute, then turn off. For gas oven, the pilot light should be enough heat to make the dough rise.
  • Step 3
Put bread in warm oven for 20 minutes to rise. Take out of oven and preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake 15 minute or until light brown. When I take mine out of the oven, I have melted margarine and lightly put on top of rolls.
