I think I got this recipe off of a rapid rise yeast package, I have made rolls out of them for years and they turn out very good, and you can put in loaf pan and make a loaf of bread also using this recipe

How to Make 60 Minute Pan Rolls

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
Heat milk, water and margarine (120-130 degrees) Stir into dry ingredients. Mix in egg and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface 7-8 minutes. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
  2. Pinch off equal size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. (For electric oven, turn oven on 200 degrees for 1 minute, then turn off. For gas oven, the pilot light should be enough heat to make the dough rise.
  3. Put bread in warm oven for 20 minutes to rise. Take out of oven and preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake 15 minute or until light brown. When I take mine out of the oven, I have melted margarine and lightly put on top of rolls.
