I got this recipe from the mother of a dear high school friend and neighbor of mine. She knew I Loved to cook and bake and we shared old family recipes. This was back when I was still learning. Mama T made me a 3" recipe binder and started filling it with recipes and gave it to me as a gift for Mother's Day. I have since filled that binder & started two more. In it was this recipe. I still use it to this day. It's a great base for any quick bread. So much better than buying it from the store and preparing from a box. Every time I make this I think of Mama T and how much she taught me. :)
