This is a pretty versatile recipe when it comes to wanting to make some personal modifications. I.E. Replace Stevia with 6t agave nectar... or... 1c ground flax seed & 1c whole wheat flour...

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flax seed, ground
  • 5 - egg whites
  • 2 - whole eggs, large
  • 5 tablespoons flax oil, coconut oil, or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 - stevia packets
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

How To Make low carb flax bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Mix all dry ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Mix all wet ingredients, and whisk into the dry ingredients. Pour into a bread pan, and bake for 30-40 mins.
  • Step 3
    Some other awesome additions are pumpkin, fresh banana or protein powder flavor of choice. Great topped with almond or peanut butter!

    Nutrition info per serving (1 serving/1 slice) 145 cal, 11 g fat, less than 1 g carbs, 6.5g protein
