lisa's blueberry bran muffins
This recipe was passed on to me by my Auntie. They are sooo good and packed full of flavour. It's a basic bran muffin recipe and you can add any fruits you would like to them. We have wild blueberries up here and we make sure we pick lots of them when they are in season and freeze them for this recipe and of course cobbler and jam :)

Ingredients
- WHAT YOU NEED
- - 1/4 cup crisco, not oil ( i use tenderflake )
- - 1/2 cup brown sugar
- - 2 eggs
- - 1 cup milk with 1/2 tsp baking soda mixed in
- - 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- - 1 1/2 cups bran
- - 1 cup flour
- - 1 cup frozen blueberries
How To Make lisa's blueberry bran muffins

Step 1Pre heat oven to 350. Grease a muffin tin or line with muffin cups.

Step 2In a bowl mix together flour baking powder set a side . Measure cup pour milk and mix in 1/2 tsp baking soda set aside.

Step 3I use my kitchen aid mixer to make these. Cream together, Crisco, sugar and eggs. Add in flour mixture, bran and milk and beat till mixed well. Fold in your frozen berries

Step 4Fill up your muffin tin and bake for 15-20 minutes or till done when tested with tooth pick. My whole family loves these, I make a fresh batch everyday, they are so YUMMMYYYYY and easy to make
