4 Tbsp(1/2 stick) butter, melted
1/2 cwhite sugar
1 cyellow corn meal
1 call purpose flour
1-1/2 tspbaking powder
How to Make ELLEN'S SWEET CORNBREAD
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, egg, butter, milk, and water. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, corn meal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until they are all combined. The batter should be a bit lumpy.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25-30 minutes, or until set in the middle and golden brown.
Serve with lots of melted butter!
