oatmeal cinnamon almond bread
I am not a person who likes oatmeal, but my husband does. I was in the mood for a sweet bread with almonds and oatmeal in it, since I had so much on hand. My husband was the guinea pig.....He loved it as much as my friends did. I also took this to our Church Social....none was brought home....

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
How To Make oatmeal cinnamon almond bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place oats in a small bowl. Place water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon in small bowl, set aside.

Step 2Place butter in large bowl. Beat with mixer set at high speed until creamy. Add sugars gradually beating constantly until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture and beat until smooth. Stir in cooked oats, add sliced almonds, mix well.

Step 3Spoon batter into a well greased 9x5 pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in center of loaf, comes out clean. About 1 hour.
